I'd always wanted to run my own business, but the right idea never quite clicked — until I took a step back to think about what I'd spent 14 years building: operational systems that turn chaos into clarity.
I joined a software company as its 5th employee and only salesperson. Over the years, I pioneered roles, shaped teams, and built the marketing, sales, and operations functions that helped the company scale — all the way to acquisition.
But here's what surprised me:
I thought I'd serve the tech world — it's what I knew. But when I started working with Aloft Group, a residential and commercial painting company, everything shifted. I saw an industry full of talented, hardworking business owners who deserved the same operational foundation that tech companies take for granted — without the jargon, bloat, or seven-figure budgets.
That's when it clicked.
Trades and home services businesses need systems that work for how they actually operate — processes that don't require an MBA, and operational excellence that makes your business easier to run, more predictable to grow, and less dependent on you holding everything together.
What I bring:
Real-world experience building operations from the ground up. A deep respect for the trades. And a relentless focus on what actually moves the needle.
I've worked at large corporations where structure and documentation are the norm, and at small companies where "freedom" from process quickly turns into dysfunction. I know what happens when you skip the foundation — and I know how to build it right.
Why I do this:
I love working with businesses near the beginning of their growth journey. As a former NCAA Division I athlete, I know what it takes to push for goals most people won't commit to — and I know what it means to work as a team toward something bigger than yourself.
I work with you, not for you. Your team knows your business better than I ever will — my job is to help you structure what you already know, fill the gaps, and build the systems that let everyone execute with clarity.
When I'm not operationalizing businesses:
You'll find me at the gym, playing pickleball, or taking naps (I get that from my dad). I love my cold brew coffee in the morning and consume way too much content on efficiency, leadership, and business culture.
And when I need to recharge? I'm traveling — ideally somewhere with mountains. The drive from Jasper to Banff to Canmore to Calgary is my favourite. There's something about those views that makes everything feel possible.
